Nailin’ It – Glitzy Leopard Print Madness

What do you do when you’re bored of your latest manicure and less than a week off getting them refilled? Probably not spend two hours adding crazy designs to them, I’m sure. Well that’s what I did on Sunday night. God knows why, but then again, god knows why I do most of the things I do!

I saw this design and figured, that since I had pink tips already, I might attempt to copy the design for a bit of practice and because tips are so boring. Two hours later I have this glitzy interpretation and a few ruined nail polish brushes left in my wake.

My leopard print design is slowly getting better with practice (and doesn’t look so much like liquorice allsorts). They’re just made with one big coloured dot with some black lines one each side. I added a tonne of glitter for good measure and then added silver lines to hide the fact the tips are growing out. Possibly a bit tacky, but I think they’re a bit of fun for a few days.

PRO TIP: Just remember to let the patterns dry completely before putting on your top coat. Or else the colour drags down and looks kind of skanky!
